Thank you so much, mag-o, I so appreciate you stopping by to take a look! :o)
Terrific modular shapes!
Thank you so much, cjldesigns...you are so kind! :o)
Really dynamic design Amy, looks great!
Thank you, inscribed_here, I can totally see that! You and Rhonda both have a wonderful way with words!!!
LOL As soon as I posted my previous comment I happened to see Rhonda's comment!
Wow! Super eye-catching. It makes me think of musical instruments - triangles and drums particularly. It also brings to mind artists, I can see easels set up for painting and artist's palettes loaded with colour.
Thank you so much, katiame, su_g and rhondadesigns...you guys are the best!!!!!
Amy, what a terrific design! This has so many possibilities!
Divinely dashing and totally wild color scheme and it works!!! Wonderful!
The atomic age symbols come together in this design with a drum roll and a clash of cymbals! For some reason my thoughts on first seeing this design were of a spotlit stage waiting for the rock and roll band musicians to come running on to perform! It is a stunner, Amy!
Thank you, vanillabeandesigns, you're right, it does feel like Future Land @ Disney world. Or like the old Monsanto ride years ago at Disneyland out here in Callifornia, everything was uber-modern!
Makes me think of "Future Land" at Disneyworld! Great design, Amy - you were very brave to go with a black background! (I tried it on my design, and then I chickened out.)
Thanks, Tina....I feel totally left out, I've never been to the Cadillac Ranch.....bummer!!!
Great design Amy, I love the colors! I too have been to the Cadillac Ranch! It was a destination for me when I drove across country many many years ago!
Thanks, Deborah and Janiece. Janiece, oh that sounded like it was mighty fun....I'm so glad my design could conjure up some really cool memories for you. I want to go back in time and go there with you! :o)
I've heard of the Cadillac Ranch. That's cool, Janiece, that you got to go to its 20th anniversary. Amy's design really caught the flavor of that time period.
This is a great retro design in updated colors. I was invited to the 20th anniversary of the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo back in the day because of this huge art car my then boyfriend and I built and drove across the US. It was a giant gold sphinx built on an old LTD. It seems that whole city was built in the 50's atomic age. When Route 66 was opened. We were invited back to the landowners ranch, "Toad Hall" that was a huge rich man's playground all built and preserved in retro style. This design reminds me of that experience.
Thank you, susaninparis and Deborah. I really appreciate your comments because I had a hard time with this style of design. My thing is weird animals, creatures and people....this was a stretch for me, but a very good challenge! Deborah, that must have been a really cool-looking neighborhood....I do love the style of that Atomic era....it's just so cool looking!
Far out man! I can dig it.
I like this on the black, Amy. You caught the space age, tv and radio age -- all that was going on in the late 50s and early 60s. My cousin used to live in an Amarillo TX neighborhood built in the early 60s -- all the streets are named after things like "Atom," "Neutron," "Galaxy," just different things like that. You caught it. Well done.
Thank you so much, winterblossom! :o)
