There are many antique stores in Salisbury, MD. One rainy afternoon I discovered a packet of vintage postcard from the early 20th century.
This design is based on a cropped detail from the postcard.

Absolutely gorgeous in the dress weight faille!
Comparison shot of "Smothered in Roses" printed on Spoonflower basic cotton and Spoonflower faille. The design was originally proofed at 150 dpi as shown on the basic cotton swatch, but is now set at 375 dpi. The shot shows the vividness of the design printed on the faille.

Wow! This printed so beautifully - I admired this when it went through but didn't have the chance to comment before now, and it has such a lovely repeat!

Thanks, Janiece and I appreciate your comments about the flow of the design. Thanks so much. The design as printed on the dress weight faille -- it looks as if I could pick the roses off the fabric. The faille replicated more precisely what one sees on the screen than say the Kona cotton. Thanks for taking a look.
Thank you, Susanne, for taking a look at the design. I appreciate it.
Very pretty roses. Great design flow across the fabric. Also those new poly designs print so beautifully. I was amazed when I got my test swatches back as to how brilliant the colors and details were.
Wonderful rose pattern.!
Close up photo of a swatch of Spoonflower's new dress weight faille printed with "Smothered in Roses." The design printed beautifully. The faille has a lovely silky feel to it.
Thank you, Emma. "Decoupage" is a great word for it -- I hadn't thought of it until you mentioned it. Thanks for taking a look.
Love this! Great vintage decoupage feel to your wonderful rose design : )
Thank you, Charlotte. I'm so happy you took a look at the design.

Thanks so much, Rhonda, for your comment on my repeating! I do appreciate it. Since I loved looking at the roses, it was fun trying to get the repeat just right. And I left in some thorns!
You have revitalised this antique beauty by turning it into such a lovely repeating design! Well done, Deborah!
