I find "Geek Chic" to be a difficult category to pin down. A lot of people seem to think of it as more "Nerd Chic", or perhaps some mix of sixties fashion and The Big Bang Theory. To me, a geek is just a person who has a great interest in something. That thing might be quite mainstream, or very esoteric. I ended up thinking about Anime and Manga otaku, people who are interested in Japanese culture. Japanese dolls, cherry blossoms, and yukata are all ubiquitous symbols from Japanese culture. The glasses on the dolls are a tongue-and-cheek poke at the entire category of geek chic, with its nerdy overtones.

Thanks Deborah, It did print just perfectly on the Faille, and so I think it would look the same, if not a bit better, on the Performance Knit.. so exciting :-)

Sylvie, the design printed beautifully on the faille. The colors are clean and crisp. Great design.
A close-up of the two fabrics... I'll definitely be changing the ladies' hair colour so that it prints more blue. I hadn't realised before that it wasn't as blue as it should have been. Sorry folks :-) I haven't changed the design size, the two sections you see here, are just different parts of the design. :-)

Finally the swatches arrive.. Through no fault of Spoonflower! The local post office and the customs department here were the problem. This is the photo of the basic combed cotton and Dress-Weight Faille fabrics. The colour is better on the dress weight... but I still think that the Performance Knit is a better fabric, for clothing and so I'm pleased that Spoonflower chose that one to be their new Fabric.
The full sample swatch. I'm rather happy with the result on Basic Combed Cotton. :-)

A Macro shot of the printed Sample.. Yes they arrived, and I took a 3 hour bus ride, there, and a 4 hour ride back, to go and collect them from the post office.. :-)
This Collection, that I'm now calling the Naruto Chic Collection, was also proof printed.. I'm soooo looking forward to the prints when they arrive :-)
*GRIN* Glad you like it Deborah. :^D ~ Sylvie
