A pleasant day sailing, then pillaging. It's a restricted palette with unrestricted behavior!
A Viking longboat with a dragon head and tail sailing the ocean blue.
I had a rough knowledge of the type of ships, but enjoyed learning more about the longboats. Wikipedia has some great articles and pictures that helped me!

Thank you, eginsd~ I am so glad you like it. I would love to see those curtains if they come to be!

I love this fabric I am considering using it in a bathroom for curtains even though it is a juvenile design because the colors are so cheerful and the design is so cute
Ha! Love your note! The longboats are beautifully drawn, and their shape goes well with the stylized waves.

These fearsome, dragon-decorated, longboats look as though they are zipping along in their haste to have a rewarding day of plundering mayhem!
Thank you, Su! I am always happy to make someone smile!
Very nicely done! One of very few Viking rigs in the contest! Loved your note too "A pleasant day sailing, then pillaging..." really made me smile!
Thank you, Aimee!
Thank you, Nadja and AOF!!!
I was going to use one of these in my design, but in the end decided on another type. They certainly are interesting boats.. the way they were designed and the distances they travelled. It's a sweet design, I like the way you did the sea.. Good luck in the contest :^D ~ Sylvie.
very nice design
Thank you so much! It is a bit of a departure for me!
Beautifully fresh looking :-)
