So cute, I love it!
This is so cute! Love!
thanks so much Rhonda, Deborah, Susan and Ottoman! This artist just celebrated his 11th birthday so he made it half his life ago - hard to believe how fast they grow up - I'm glad to have this little artistic record of his Kindergarten drawings!
Love his drawings!
really cute design - good luck in the contest!
"Bubbie's Bees" is a winner!
Bubbie's Bees make a wonderful, fun design!:-)
thanks, Lori and Lynn! My son is now 10 but drew these when he was 5 - still makes me happy to look at it! ;o)
So charming! Great colors and repeat!
Thank you everyone! It's hard to believe that my son who made this fabric is now NINE! It's so fun to have a wearable record of his Kindergarten days. I wish I could get him to sit down and draw without scribbling it all out in the end (as he's busy simulating attacks! fires! marching armies! etc.)

thanks Victoria and Simboko! yeah, I am planning to make quilts from our swatches (paired with other less expensive fabric.) Can't afford to make anything else at the moment, but I do want to do something with this design someday!

This is awesome!
What wonderful bees! I can hardly wait to see what you make with it; it would make a scrumptious tee shirt on the knit. You should sew the swatches of each child's designs together until it's big enough for a quilt. That would be a wonderful keepsake for them.
thanks cathy! I can't wait to tell my son, he'll be thrilled by your compliment!
This pattern is great! Both the design and the patterning.
yes, it has been TOTALLY worth it to make my kids' drawings into fabric. They are SO proud when they see the swatches (and we made shorts from half a yard from two of the patterns, and they're thrilled to be able to wear their art!)
upcyclepatch, your time will be here before you know it. but if you can't wait, maybe some baby-foot-stamps or jello fingerpaints would be fun and make some interesting art? ;o)

What a fabulous idea and the fabric looks great, my daughter is too young to draw at the moment just wants to eat the crayons!
a swatch of bubbie-bees fabric alongside the original drawings by my 5-y-o son.
weavingmajor uploaded a fabric image for
Bubbie's bees :
thanks everyone! Yup, Bubbie likes his bee fabric - he wants bee bedsheets now. I'm thinking maybe a pair of shorts instead...
So darn cute!!
Love this - agree with dentednj ... so much fun - bet your boys were "buzzed" to see their design on fabric :)
