Thanks for your motivational words, Su! I made this for the "girl power" contest a while back, hence the all-girl cut-outs. But I like the idea of developing the design and expanding the scope!

So interesting to read about how you did this and the way you thought about it - I love process notes! Also (I am ashamed to admit this) I only just read your short description and I really like that too! I wonder if you might consider extending this design to make it illustrative of soft power generally - popping a few males in there for instance... The symbols that are available for concepts such as "leadership', 'coordination', 'people power' etc. are generally quite poor, thin and ugly from my previous researches - not elegant, rich and colorful like this.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment, Su! I scanned folded paper dolls do get the basic shape, and I liked the shading from the scans so I carried it through in the design.
So cute! A wonderful idea and so nicely done! Love the colors and variations within color, and the way the little hearts leap around!

Thank you for your kind comments Ewa and Vendy!
Hi, I mean that your fabric really shows the real girl power! :) I love it! Good luck :-)
Very cute design and great idea, good luck!
Thanks, Kelly. You always leave such sweet and thoughtful comments. :)
great colors and cute - I love the hearts and cutouts, and I love the sentiment that power doesn't have to be aggressive - you show that well in your design.
