Your note made me giggle. Gorgeous design!
Very pretty design love the intricate patterns around the eggs :)
Love this! Your patterns are all delightful.
This is a beautifully intricate nest filled with pretty-coloured eggs.
ooh, clever with the mirrored half-eggs! Great colors and I love the wreath-like shapes it makes in the yard view.
The hand-drawn elements in this are really sweet!!
Gorgeous and somehow funny at the same time. : )
OOoh, that's definitely one I'll vote for. Beautiful.
Your works are beautiful! I'll have to try the pencil thing first. I have always gone straight to ink (duh!).
Amazing depth of color in your artwork!
Thank you Katiame, Fireflower, Kociara, and Amy G. I am glad you like this.
The design is drawn in pencil first (so I can decide on what twists over and under)). The pencil lines are then traced over (in this case it was a charcoal gray paint pen sold under the brand name of Sakara Souffle). Pencil lines are erased, and then everything is colored with fiber tip pens (a mixture of water and alcohol based). Some of the shapes are also pastel Souffle pens. Lastly a mixture of Sakara's gel pens and ordinary Flair felt tips add the accents. So it isn't watercolor with a brush. It is pretty much marker on white card stock.
So interesting and beautiful.....the colors are fantastic!!!
love these intricate swirls and watercolour textures!
Could it be the very exciting nesting material that inspired the hens? I like this fun variation on your filligree and texture designs.
Are your works watercolors?
This is a new twist on your lovely designs. I like the pattern the eggs take on the fat quarter and full yard views. Very intriguing!
