Emma, Lady Hamilton, the romantic, infamous, intelligent, sensual muse of her age wrote these simple words that I find to be some of the most passionate phrasing I have ever heard. "I feil more and more unhappy at being seperatted from you, and if my fatal ruin depends on seeing you, I will and I MUST ... for to live without you is impossible. I love you to that degree that at this time their is not a hardship upon hearth, either of poverty, hunger, cold, death or even to walk barefoot to Scotland to see you, but I would undergo." I have regularized the spelling for the print. The romantic print is comprised of this quote and a faux envelope addressed to her famous lover, Lord Nelson. Also in the design are a hand drawn cameo locket that I based on a portrait of her, photos of roses that I have colored to resemble the rose named after her, a ribbon that once bound love letters of my own and an antique gold brooch that I added an H N. monogram for Nelson, that I found at a thrift store when I was just discovering the story of Emma when I was fourteen and saw Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier's film of That Hamilton Woman.
