Hi Shirley! I originally set this one up on the golden mean, so there is a quiet spiraling movement to the composition. All the superficial that Emma stresses over reminded me a bit of a hat in the wind, and I liked the way the setting always changed scenes without giving too much description to the land or physical attributes of characters. I'm glad you enjoy the piece, I guess it is a lot like mosaics, breaking down and re-purposing without loosing original form. Thanks so much for the feedback.

I love this! I was wandering through your designs and this one hit me-the color the arrangements of the pieces and in my case I see tiles as I'm becoming very interested in mosaics .I particularly like how you approached the subject ,reading the book and letting the ideas take hold. I have been taking a break from commenting ,not that I am always good about it but when I start I can't stop. Thanks for following me and I would like to follow your work too,I can see many more lovely designs in your future. :-)
So pleased to see this place in the top twenty!

Thanks Rhonda. When I read books for fun chapters feel like quilt pieces, and at the end the author always seems to sew it all together. This was actually a great parallel project for me while I was reading the book (something I should do more often).
Smart & Pretty! Very nicely done!
This is a well-balanced design with many intriguing details to make the viewer come back for another, closer look. It would be a great print to use for home decor or quilting projects!
Thanks Su! It was a lot of fun to put together.
Elegant design and a clever way to argue a case (for timelessness!) - and to frame a quote!
Thank you, Julie. I'm glad that you like it.
Thanks, miart! It would have to be a very special room :)
I think this would be a fun wallpaper, too!
Wow! Thanks for the encouragement, everyone! This was a fun project for me, the best part was an excuse to read Emma.
This is lovely!
Love your design as well as the color palate used!!!
This is gorgeous!
