I have never been to Mardi Gras but my husband lived in New Orleans for a couple of years and he has entertained me with Mardis Gras stories. I'm sure my reaction would be the same as this design. :-)
And a big thank you to Su_G for suggesting that I "cut out" around the mask thereby giving it a more jagged effect.
