Thanks Su. The extra face is placed face-to-face with the piece on the right , creating a pocket at the face end of the pillow once it is turned right-side-out. The left hand face gets tucked into the pocket to close the pillowcase once a pillow has been slipped inside. It's written out in instructions 3 and 4
I like this shape, and the bright colors, and the little feet! - and it is so useful for the purpose. Try as I might tho' I cannot understand what the extra face is for or does... everything else (I think) I follow, so frustrating (I'm sure I'm just missing something simple...)
He is a friendly, and comforting looking little guy.
I'm thinking about buying a FQ on Cotton Silk to make one for myself.
Despite my ambivalent feelings about caterpillars "in the wild", the big friendly grins on your fun critters makes them look very cuddly! They are a cosy shape to bring comfort to aching necks and shoulders!
Thanks, Amy. Surprised at how few entries there were and so many don't seem to even be set up as slipcover or pillowcase designs. Might help in the future if an "example" blank design was provided to show how to create a pillowcase (not show a tutorial well after the start of the contest on how to make the pillow that goes inside). I think the designers were confused by the lack of instructions and many ran out of time.
So cute, Pamela!
