I am retired and my main passion is digital art followed by quilting . Once I discovered Spoonflower I could see this as the next step in joining these two interests together.

Not so Su- a relatively small order as it happens and the second time up has to be that a few more were needed to fill the space- ha-ha. Fashion will have to wait.:-)

Seen in Hot Sellers - hope it is a huge order Shirley and that we are going to see it in fashion garments...
Thank you Sharon. Its not often one has a design that is called great and now 2. I am so pleased and thank you both. Deborah- it did print beautifully but I haven't yet progressed to thinking of something to make with it.

Sharon is right. This IS a great design. Janiece's comment about keeping the eye moving is a true one. It looks like it printed beautifully.
This is a great design!
Slimming! Oh how I wish. If only I could break away from the computer long enough to sew something. Thanks for your encouragement Janiece.
This is gorgeous. It's one of those designs that keep the eye moving that I think would have a slimming effect when worn as a dress or top.
Thank-you again. Its better even than I would have hoped.
Close up showing how the colors segue into others - the blues and oranges into greens and so on. The buttons are just for show as I'm making a scarf with it.

Block Print -African - green and orange :
This printed so beautifully on silk crepe de chine I just had to share it: the colors are extraordinary (daylight photo).
Thanks for letting me know- good news. Thanks. I'm rushing as I'm off for a walk on a sunny day here - it is NOT raining.

Yay!!! Way to go: TOP FIFTY!! Love it! The swatch I had printed on CdC looks exactly like the design image on screen, totally impressive, so I've ordered a yard & it's in my cart but might be a while til I close that order, just to let you know.
Thank you Amy. Glad you think so.
Chickoteria, thank you so much for the very nice comment on this design. - we will soon know??LOL
Love the color and the line weight. Powerful. Good luck in the contest!
Thanks for that terrific comment. I am thrilled how the colored areas turned out to be so mottled. One of those lucky accidents because when I printed on paper originally it printed unevenly and that was the bonus..
Su- So nice of you to say that considering all the fantastic designs I saw on MY first run through..Glad the swatch looks great too.
The scratchy texture and dynamic geometric pattern of your design give it a fantastic African atmosphere!
The swatch looks terrific on CdC - just like on screen. Really stood out among the entries I've seen so far!
This is a wonderful design! The colors in all their wonderful shades are so vibrant together while the strong thick black edges holds the whole together. It looks great in yardage too. Are you thinking of entering this in the African-inspired Contest?
Thank you Julie! I've been having fun lately- so many directions to go in. I love your latest Japanese designs.
Thank-you. Glad you like it. That watery feeling is completely by accident ,due no doubt to the original block being slightly less than perfectly flat. So every time I was to use this block design it would have this- interesting how things work out. :-) - Shirley
Ingenious! I love the watery feeling within the shapes.. lovely. :^D ~ Sylvie
