I've designed this for making a long narrow shoulder wrap scarf. I ordered it on crepe de chine and split it width wise and serged those sections in the center making a 72 inch long scarf. I really love the dramatic large scale.
It should be a great upholstery design and other home decor items such as drapery or pillows.

This looks so wonderful printed on the crepe de chine! And beautifully serged! I like your idea of a ribbon tag with your name on it - and what about making them a limited edition so each would be numbered (e.g. 1/5 - like print-makers and lithographers do)?

I'm still trying to conclude how to price them. This takes a full yard so that would be a factor. I'm planning to added a little ribbon tag to the scarves that would have my name printed on the tag. Hopefully that would add to any "collector" value over time.
Take a look at the video of napkin edges being serged.
This one helped me to feel it might be worth diving off into getting a serger. I couldn't have imagined how great it would be for the scarves. I've done pretty much as this video shows.
Just beautiful! yes id like to make scarves with my designs too, So the CDC is the way to go for that huh... and a serger... thanks for sharing, im really excited to take my traditional kapa designs to another level! The fabric is pretty pricey, what kind of price would you ask for one of your wraps?
I'm am thrilled to pieces to finally have a way to hem the Spoonflower silk. After finally
getting the nerve to get a serger/overlock, I now see what a dream job they can do on such a project. I wish I had gotten one a long time ago! This is on the CDC silk.
