This is from a series of photos I took when Hunter Mann stopped in St. Louis on his way back to Arizona from New York with his fabulous "Brass Van". Driving my art car for 14 years sure did introduce me to so many great, creative souls. It's an everyday parade only those who have done it know how extraordinary being on daily display and standing out from the crowd feels like. You find friends where ever you go. Children laugh and smile and point. Some guy at a gas station ask if he could take a picture of my car and me and it ends up in his collage band calendar. You pull into a tiny town and this guy begs you to hang out for 15 minutes while he gets the local News paper to show up and that ends with pictures of you in their town news paper. You get invited to important events like the 20th anniversary of the Cadillac Ranch, The indy 500. You find yourself in a National Geographic documentary and on and on. My car and I are even in an art history book.
