Thanks so much for taking a look at this design, Kim, and your comments. My brother is significantly younger than I and I still can't believe he visited Ho Chi Minh City. I'm happy he sent pictures!

Thank you, winterblossom. There were a lot of shadows in the original photo. My brother was looking out of his hotel window and the sun was already at an angle rather than overhead -- hence the "blues." Appreciate your taking a look and your comments. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Lori, for taking a look at the design. I hadn't thought about "cammo" but after you mentioned it, I took another look and, yes, it does have a cammo look. Appreciate your comments. Thank you.
Thanks so much, Su. I like the "slight wonkiness" in your description. Very apt. I was attempting to do something more than just use the photo so I tried to choose elements that would look good in a repeat. I appreciate your critique. Thank you.
This is lovely to look at and interesting. Make a fantastic wall hanging. I just love those shades of blues. Gives it such atmosphere.
Bravo Deborah! This is really cool! I like the "cammo" look in the yard view.
Well doesn't that look great as a diagonal stripe! And with the photographic edges beautifully blended in - top job! What I like most about it is that one tall building and how the slight wonkiness of its angle over the design gives you the illusion of movement (think earthquake... or about to topple down...) which gives the whole a very interesting dynamic.
The colors and shapes could not be better,Deborah! Outstanding design, wonderful back story.
One fat quarter of Spoonflower linen-cotton canvas printed with a revised (and hopefully improved) version of "Ho Chi Minh City." One of my brothers visited this city on business earlier in the year and he sent me a photo of the city. This design is based on that photo -- with revisions and cutout effect applied. It printed well on the linen-cotton canvas.
