When I look at the diagonal lines and craftsman era flowers of this alternating box design I think of the ornate and 3D ceramic tiles of 1880's through 1920's mansions and the colorful glazes on them.
One box is purely geometric with honeysuckle tendrils reaching out to a diamond tied with a macrame or Celtic knot. The other box features conjoined hearts at its horizontal edges and stylized flowers between the arching reach of that honeysuckle bloom.
They alternate as a horizontal row of diamonds, then a horizontal row of blooms, then more diamonds, for as long as the fabric goes.
