Collection: 2012 Art & Crafts Deer and Grapes
All the designs I do somehow come out as fabric designs. They may start as photos, drawings, embroidery, dye-painted fabrics, batiks or virtual batiks, or even typography, but they all lead to fabrics. Often they are Art Nouveau or William Morris inspired

This is the small version of this Arts & Crafts style deer eating the grapes design. Prints as a slightly softened true blue and white, a virtual batik.

It is a virtual batik derived from 2 batik stamps I bought years ago, which I have always intended to use together. It also has some of the look of a medieval tapestry.

Thank you so much, Kim. This is one of my very favorite designs.
I grew up in Washington and Idaho, but see more deer coming through the yard here in the Northern California foothills than I ever did there. How lovely that you had a resident fawn.

Mina this is lovely! I like it in all your colorways yet this is my favorite for its crispness and as you suggest, medieval tapestry feeling. We have recently moved to the country in southwestern Washington and we share the property with a resident doe and her spotted fawn and your design reminds me of them . Oh,wallpaper ! This would be fantastic.I'll add it to my wish list. Kim@krussimages
