That was very thoughtful of you to make the fish head sleeves optional. : )
I have an idea about how you could make a boy's bowling shirt version available without having to make a pattern for it - just an idea. I'll send you a private message. : )

Thank you, Wren!
Too funny, Clotilda!
great detail patches!
My sons grew up half expecting a bowl of roly-poly fish heads one day, lol!
Totally cool and definitely brings back good memories from the 80's. Good luck this week!
Bippidiiboppidii- I was talking to my husband last night on how I could make a boy version as a bowling shirt if only I knew how to make patterns. I'm a bit new to sewing so to create my own would be quite a challenge right now.
Wow! I did not expect all this! Thank you so much for the great comments!
And now the song's in my head, too. o.O Love the tee, though!
Such a neat idea to give the option of applique or not applique! Wonderfully demented and entertaining and your color choices really made this design stand out too. Loved being able to have the close up look at the details as well.
Oh too fab! Love those clever pocket illustrations. Will have to show my kids... This song is so much a part of my family's 'culture' - we sing it all the time and reference it often - so this is just fab... Any chance of a boy version?!?!?
This is too funny! Great design!
I've made a dead fish hat from a pattern on knitty.com that would go perfectly with this :)
Greasy Grimy Gopher Guts! Of course! I'm glad I could make you laugh, Angel!
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, Barbara! When the idea came about the fish head sleeves, I had to reel myself in a little (pun intended, of course). I almost made them print directly to the fabric but decided to make them appliqué for 2 reasons, 1) they can be optional, I could be crossing a taste line there & 2) appliqué would make them more special for those willing to cross that taste line.
Thanks, Jen! I'm glad you like the Cosby sweater. My personal favorite is the popcorn & 3D glasses.
Ahhahahahaha! So great!!! I sing this song to my kids and they look at me like I'm nuts. Remember "great big gobs of greasy, grimy gopher guts" (too much)? Oh, thanks for the laugh and the memory. There are definitely kids who would love a "gross" shirt :)
I love how the dead "X" eyes on the fishhead are echoed in the baseball glove and the sweater. : D But the best thing to me is the the dead fishy "X" eyes on the fishhead-colored sleeves. Now THAT is inspired! : D
The Cosby sweater is the best thing ever.
This is wonderfully wacky & totally awesome!
They make great movie companions!

Not even a Cosby sweater?
Your secrets are safe with them...
not big on baseball...
They can't, don't or won't play drums...
The optional pockets feature a choice in highlighted activities from the original song of which the beloved fish heads can or cannot do. I gave 6 choices plus 2 blanks. You can add as many or as few pockets you like or the icons could be used as patches for appliqué instead.
It's good to know I'm not the only one into the goofy-gross stuff! Thanks for your comment, Katherine. I'm actually glad I didn't read the whole description on the Storey site for this contest. This may not have gotten made.
Hahaha-- of course I know exactly the song! And don't you think little kids might just absolutely delight
in having a "gross" t-shirt? I also remember singing quite a number of yucky songs as a kid: "No body
likes me, everybody hates me, I'm going to eat some worms..." And the pocket addition: genius. Once
again, Spoonflower designers abound with creativity and artistry (darn!). Maybe we should pitch a
One Yard Wonder book to Storey!
Rhonda, you really can find something nice to say for any design, including these disgusting fish heads! Thank you so much! I'm glad you see the humor and you weren't offended by it.
The design is terrific fun, Ghennah! The pockets are a great idea, as all kids love to hide treasures in their pockets. I love your sense of humour and I know what you mean about certain songs from your childhood pushing their way into your thoughts!
