I wonder if it's related to the problem I've had with some of my designs looking like they don't quite tile correctly. They seem to be missing a couple of pixels right along the edge of the tile. You can see it on the top edge of the dulcimer in my musical instruments design. Yours is the same way. You can see it best in the stem of the first leaf on the right going up from the bottom of the stem. Once you see that look over at the leaf to the left of the stem and you will see that it looks a little flat. I don't get the lines on mine though; that must have something to do with the transparency. I sent Spoonflower a question about it, but haven't heard back. I just checked out this design in the white and it's even more obvious; but no lines. You have the repeat in a slightly different spot and it really shows up in the swatch view. It's such a relief to know it didn't print that way.

I haven't had time to research the problem as I should so that I could explain concisely to SF, due to the time I've been having to spend with my elderly, ailing parents. I've been lucky I got a fabric or two designed occasionally the last few months. But now with the new display options SF has so awesomely created for us I hope to be able to at least show that the fabric prints right and then spend some time analyzing why it happens. If I can't figure it out I will ask Steven and/or his crew if they know why. Maybe they have some magic eraser?? : ) I've been uploading PNGs so I will try your suggestion and see what happens. I'll let you know. Thanks weavingmajor.
huh! I've never played with transparency at all, so haven't encountered that problem. I hope SF fixes the glitch! Maybe if it happened again you could put a disclaimer down in the comments, where it's there but not screaming at you. Having a fabric link will help too - then we can see for ourselves it's just a phantom. But - how annoying!

Could you save your design as as a JPG or something that doesn't support transparency? I know JPGs get a bad rap, but when I save them at 100% quality I haven't noticed any visible compression when I open a TIF and a JPG next to each other and compare pixel-by-pixel. I usually upload JPGs.
Thanks Kris. I got it printed on the interlock and it's really soft, good for yoga or lounging pants I think. And yes the phantom line is interesting but annoying.
wow : Thanks Ipds1220, that's so interesting to know this can happen uploading a transparency : btw I love this design, it's one of my favourites ;)
Just checked on the other one, it's the green on green toile in my profile. Line is still there. I got this one also but not big enough to check for the line.
Thanks for the nice comments weaving major.
This is the second time I have had a thin line show up in the fabric views. It seems to be only on ones with transparency backgrounds. I just received a yard of this exact fabric and the line is no where to be seen. So I don't know what is up. I hope to be able to post photos of my order on Flicker this weekend so you will be able to see the line isn't there. The previous fabric that had this same problem I deleted, re-cropped, uploaded and it still was there. So I can only think that transparencies cause this?? Very frustrating. I feel I should put a disclaimer when it happens but that seems so lame...Thanks for trying to help us keep our designs perfect. : )
I love the colors you've chosen here - how the leaves get lighter as you go up the branch - and the pattern is gorgeous!

you have a thin line running across - doesn't show up on the 'zoom' view but it's on every view of the fabric - looks like it might be a cropping error where you got one pixel of the background around the edge or something?
