Hmmm. I think this might be my favorite in the collection so far... Yes. I'm going with this one for the Nasher/Matisse contest.
The colors in this pattern not only coordinate with the other designs in my Matisse collection, but should also match the colors in any print other designers created for the Nasher/Matisse color-restricted contest.
This is the larger of two sizes for this design, a 12" X 12" repeat.

Great design! The entire collection is fun... I can see why you had a hard time picking which one to enter :)
Fun and pretty! - voted :)
Thank you, Julie!
I like this design too Barbara, especially the circular shapes!
Thank you, Ottomanbrim!
Thanks, Rhonda! LOL! You're right! How did I miss those cross-sectioned onions? Isn't the subconscious designing mind a wondrous thing? I designed two onion pieces without *consciously* intending them to be onions! Sure, this could just be coincidence, but my subconscious can be very independent of my conscious will, and sometimes naughty. One time I drew, in colored pencils, an *elaborate* get-well card for a friend who had breast cancer. It was intensely and smoothly colored, with images from edge to edge in a three dimensional style. It wasn't until it was finished that I noticed that - deer loward! - one of the design elements repeated in the border looked like ... NIPPLES!!! When I was drawing them, all I saw in them was a decorative shape. Ehhhhh... not what I would have consciously chosen to put on a card for a breast-cancer patient. So I would not put it past my inner mind to give me onions without my knowing about it. : D
This design is great too!
All of the designs that you have created for this collection look fantastic, Barbara! The more I have looked into this one, the more I am convinced that it also has onions camouflaged amid the other design elements. This time they are cross-section onion rings! Mmmm, now I am thinking this print would make a fabulous picnic blanket to recline upon while the out-of-doors cook tended the barbecue - with loads of onion rings on the menu!
Thank you, Melanie!
Thank you, Moira Rae! : )
This is lovely!
Che Sera, Sera!
I did the same thing with Flights of fancy entry - finally sticking with the one I'd originally entered - but, I hasten to add, not my original design which was the doves. Strangely enough the one I entered has grown on me the last week and I love it again. I hope the same happens for you.
Oo... decisions, decisions!
Thank you, Emma! It's coming down to the wire... I've got to decide whether to keep this one as my entry or to turn it into the onions....
Oh....I like this one too.....but I think the other one was surely the temptress! : )
