My Thanksgiving Prayer:
Thank you, dear Lord, for this glorious day.
Our hearts are full as we bow our heads to pray.
Thank you for our cherished family: Mother & Dad, brothers and sisters, and siblings in-law.
Thank you for the beloved children of whom we all are in awe.
Thank you for our loving grandparents, and our dear uncles and aunts.
Thank you for our good health, a blessing more precious than wealth.
Thank you for our treasured friends. Bonds of choice have much to commend.
Thank you for our jobs. Accomplishment gives meaning to life.
Thank you for the challenges; we value what we achieve through strife.
Thank you for the chance to help others. The gift most often received is to ourselves.
Thank you for our extraordinary country and those who serve to keep us free.
Thank you for our comfortable homes, our sanctuaries no matter how far we roam.
Thank you for this meal of abundance. Food so delicious provides much more than sustenance.
Thank you, God, most of all for the gift of time together. Please let the love and laughter continue forever.
