In the last weekend of August (for the northern hemisphere--if you are a southerner re-name this the last weekend of April) the leaves are still lush and green on the trees. The nights are still warm and the crickets are still calling out their mating chirps. The colors you see here are still in the leaves. But the acorns are getting ready to drop and the snow is coming. The big green four pointed stars hint at the flakes to come. And everything will soon be naked vines and branches like the white twists around the rectangles.
The last weekend in August is summer life's last playful dance.
