After David got ripped down it was Jon Anderson of Yes and Dr. hook and the Medicine show. Yes, I'm old but I love being old.
Posted almost 4 years ago.
Hahaha, Justin Bieber, bleurgh, David Cassidy's not bad mind, mine would have had Madonna and Michael Jackson for a short while before being quickly replaced with Michael Stipe and Morrisey ;-) LOVE that it's removable too, I've made something like this for kids, with bits to colour in and whatnot, I'm just waiting for the swatch to arrive for that one, it takes soooo long! Fingers crossed for lots of sales for us :) x
I'm just yanking your chain dear. At this point in time no art is completely original. Every one of us borrows idea and interprets them from somewhere. I got the idea from my grand daughters wall of art. Just proves great minds think alike. The fact that the wall paper is easily removable makes this a doable thing for the little ones or even the preteen types that want pictures of Justin Beeber all over their wall. I would have filled it with David Cassidy. lol
Oh Janiece, I hadn't realised you'd done something similar, I've always wanted wallpaper like this after a lady I used to babysit for had a downstairs toilet that had doodled drawings on plain wallpaper that she used to acutally put frames around. I loved the idea back then. Just had a look at yours and I love it!!! x
Great idea, glad I thought of it and posted it weeks ago. Your welcome.
Close up on the left of the wallpaper swatch, here you can see part of the original ephemera frame text that I'd left on, I've since removed that in a revised version as, having seen it, I think it works better without it.

Close up on the right of the wallpaper swatch, beautifully crisp printing here.
Wallpaper swatch photographed in natural daylight. I've revised this slightly to take out the text "paris 1889" this was part of the original ephemera frame that I'd left as I thought it was quite nice but seeing it I think it works better without it.
Thanks Su! Wouldn't it be lovely if you could do that? Perhaps it's worth experimenting with the decals for that idea :) Can't wait to get a swatch of this ordered :) x
What a great idea! It makes you wonder if it would be possible to actually insert photos into some of the frames as well... using the wallpaper glue to bond them in? Whether you can do that or not, it is a great idea!
