I learned everything I needed to know about drugs from watching the Wizard of Oz on TV. At age 8 I turned to my mother and asked "why would poppies put them to sleep?" She proceded to explain to me that you make heroin from poppies, and heroin is called snow, and the witch was metaphorically making them all into drug addicts.
Well, these art nouveau/Victorian stained glass window flowers are the poppies that magical witches can use to make heroin from. Their stems have turned blue from the cold of the snow. And if you believe THAT story, I've a got a wizard to introduce you to. He lives in the Emerald City...
