This border fabric is made from a vintage remix I did for a book of poetry for Maria Guataloupe Massey. The book is about her family struggles to come to America when she was a small child. She has had a life long passion for poetry and is pretty well known for her work. She is a generous soul who works a lot with children and high school aged kids to inspire them to be creative. She holds a couple annual events to raise scholarship money for kids to travel to state and national competitions and attend workshops.
