This is my embroidery contest entry. This is a unique way of doing things with this design, Cut around the outer edges of the two designs, place them on your chosen fabric backgound and color, some examples would be velvet,velveteen,satin and cotton, Pin them on with a few straight pins to your chosen project, examples are throw pillows or a picture to be framed. Then use your embroidery hoop and stitch your design to the fabric and completely fill in all of the white with your chosen colours of embroidery thread. This will give your finished embroidery more of a 3D effect. You can see an example below of what your design would look like on a black background and a leaf background fat quarter size.
