There are several fishy and fish-free patterns in this collection for quilt backing and room coordinates. I see the quilt with the deepest blue fishy backing, and so one of the clownfish from that fabric has come around front to investigate the sailboats. (Although you could use any of the coordinating fabrics for the quilt backing, I did post one indigo/blue-with-fish pattern sideways so that one yard will be the right amount in the right direction. The large-scale repeat in this set is also the indigo/blue-with-fish.)

Thank you, Yvonne!
Such a clever picture!
Thank you, Victoria! I hadn't thought of it as a wall hanging. Maybe then some of the blocks could become pockets for tiny treasures... or for plushie clown fish?
I love this, it would not only be a nice baby quilt or lap quilt; but a lovely wall hanging. Your little clown fish is so sweet.
Thank you, Marca and Rhonda!
Rhonda and Isabella, I'm really glad you like it!
I had my young nephew in mind when designing it, and the little fish in the corner is one of my favorite parts, too. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!
A lovely, ocean themed quilt that perfectly matches the theme. I like how you've varied the blues to create a sense of distance and depth. I love the fish in corner of the border.
Your charming design fits perfectly within the spirit and the letter of the contest guidelines! The rippling wave border is a lovely way to frame your charming faux quilt! Any child who loves adventure on the high seas would be thrilled to receive this quilt as a gift!
Thank you, Amy and Susan!
Su and Cally, thanks so much for your lovely comments!
The beautiful tones you've used for the chevrons already give a soft quilted feel to the design. Gorgeous!
Attractive, nicely developed and totally convincing as a quilt. The light and dark variations work really well, and I love the details like the little bubbles scattered here and there. Nice border too, and the collection is a set of clever pieces too, very professional!
Thank you, Angela, Margaret, Garima and Trish!
