Thank you for your support and comments. There is a photo of this fabric on FLICKr and my blog www.africanamericanfabrics.blogspot.com
i love this one! the bottle tree looks like some kind of exotic plant and it makes a very elegant fabric design. i'd love to see what the printed fabric looks like.
Funny thing about the bottle trees---for those of us that know about them---we all seem to have an endearing story to share. Awwwwwwwww....the bottle tree spirit!
I moved to Tennessee from Michigan. A girlfriend had a blue bottle tree. I loved it.
I've long been fascinated by bottle trees (I'm from Louisiana, but was transplanted in the North long ago) and really love this fabric design. Hope to purchase some of this fabric in the near future!
Thanks, like this, there are many folkways of Southern African Americans--which as it turns out make for great inspiration. Keep watching my designs for more laughs and wit (wink).
how fun! I wouldn't have thought to put a bottle tree on fabric, but it's really nice. you picked some really nice colors for it, too.
Thanks!! This one turned out really beautiful. I have the swatch wating to photograph for Flicker. Funny how we can find inspiration in the most unlikely places.
I really like this.
beautiful bottle tree fabric - and great subtle texture in the background :)
