Tallulahdahling's "polka dot" definition: "Any drawn or printed dots that appear to be cheerily dancing around."

Thank you, Vicki! Funny how dots can have such a cheering effect, isn't it?
Forge a new definition! I agree that yours are more in the Polka spirit. Just looking at the fabric makes me smile!
Well, whatever the technicalities... this is a fab & cheery design :-))
Wow! That *is* specific. I had no idea about the spacing being the same as the dot diameter in real polka dots. Thanks for looking that up, Jane. Interesting but a bit disturbing to my world.
Having just added some mini "polka dot" fabrics to my shop, then reading your question, I figured I had better "Google" it! It appears that polka dots are same-size filled circles evenly spaced with the distance between dots approximately equal to the dot diameter. That sure is specific! I like your definition better, LOL!
Are they called "polka dots" when they aren't evenly spaced like the traditional dots on polka dresses? Because it seems to me even more appropriate to call them "polka dots" when they're dancing around like this.
