At home in both sky and sea, the versatile seaplane is a handy vehicle to have!! This design is inspired by a Japanese animated childrens film (although I've yet to meet an adult who doesn't like it!) called Porco Rosso from Studio Ghibli (a kinda Japanese Disney but much much better!) This film is about a talented sea plane pilot who due to a magic spell is transformed into a pig! I have the whole Studio Ghibli film collection for my 4yo daughter as they have really strong female lead characters (so sick of feeble disney princesses!) and actually the whole family love them! I took the seaplane from this design from a wooden plane my other half made for our daughter as she loves Porcos plane so much, I then altered the photo of the plane on photoshop! The background is designed to look like it could be the sea or sky!
