Design based on my photograph of an old homemade wooden top and homemade marbles made by my great grandfather . . .
1892 ABC cards found in a Louisville, Kentucky antique store, placed atop of my great grandmother's slate that she took to school when she was little in the late 1800s. My entry in the Schooll Supplies contest.
Purchasing a swatch of a design in your desired Spoonflower fabric or wallpaper is recommended so that you can get an idea of the color and feel of the actual design printed on fabric and/or wallpaper.

Isabella, thanks so much for taking a look at the design and for your comments. I do appreciate it. It's interesting how few items students used to use to do schoolwork and how many things are required now. An evolution, I guess! Thanks again.

Great idea. I love that you used items that hold personal meaning. Your collection of antique school supplies look marvelous!
Rhonda, thank you for your comment on the design. The picture does not pick it up but my great grandfather whittled that little top from an old Clark's thread spool. Thank you for taking a look.
Fireflower, thank you so much for looking at this design. I'm a sucker for things with histories. After you mentioned upholstery fabric, I can see it too. Thank you so much for your comments.
I like old things, too, and I like what you've done with these. I'm imagining chairs upholstered with this fabric, for a cozy reading room. (Maybe I should make a cover for my ASUS EEE Slate from this ... hmmmm)
You have combined this collection of interesting antique memorabilia into a charming design! It is sure to appeal to anyone with a fondness of nostalgic vintage images!

Thanks, Su. I hope to make a cover for my Bamboo Create out of the fat quarter. (At last, something besides a pillow!) I thought it would be ironic! Ha. Thank you for taking a look at the design.
Printed beautifully! A really neat idea what you've done here!
