I thought a nice quick gestural, sketchy approach would be a good idea for this theme, as the Olympics are such a tiny, fast measurement (a mere matter of seconds and minutes, on only a handful of days) in the lives of athletes who have worked tirelessly for years upon years to get there. Celebrating the spirit of good sportsmanship all around the world, I present you with a glimpse of all the simultaneous action that unfolds on these days.
I dedicate this to the two Olympians in my family: My Auntie Marg, Australian shot put champion who participated in the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne, and to my brother, who ran his heart out in the Texas Special Olympics.
