This artist creates a Cuisinart of abstract mirror designs borrowing bits from Victorian, Edwardian, paisley, and art nouveau. She also draws orphan cars, and adapts a few very old ads. Most of her work is hand drawn with twists, vines & Celtic knots.

When I look at the white outlines, butterfly shaped wing things, mini diamonds, other shapes floating in pastel blue, and complicated not quite Celtic knot tangles of lines, I think of the 3D colorful tiles that were used in kitchen and bathroom walls during the first quarter of the 20th century, particularly in wealthy World War One to 1920's homes. You can see bits of these broken tiles in Simon Rodia's Watts Towers, and you can see them in fine old homes. Except for the grout lines, which seem to be missing, I can see them in these pastel hand drawn and symmetrical geometric shapes.
