I loved that riff on the 60s Deborah! And the way it all comes back... with a geometric design evoking nostalgic memories (you and me and Rhonda and I'm sure lots of others!). I think you're right, this would look great in the linen-cotton canvas (it seems to call for a stiff fabric) - and I think I will explore making the flecked part into a companion print - many thanks for the thoughts!

And I just zoomed in -- one half circle reminded me a little of a disco ball, but that would be the early 70s. Funny how geometric designs can evoke nostalgic memories.
60s,60s,60s! It's all coming back to me now. I can see this on linen-cotton canvas. Another A-line mini dress. Great contrasts.
Oh great Rhonda - glad you enjoyed it! I like the tunic idea, in fact I was even toying with the idea of doing a mockup as a maternity smock... I'm not really sure why, except that it would be so "out there"!

I love it, Su!! Thank you for doing the mock up! It actually makes me feel quite nostalgic for the good old mini-dress days! Wearing this style as a tunic over tights or slim fit pants sounds a great option.
Hey! Glad you like it Susan, Candy! This was a sort of joke for Rhonda - on the way to doing something else - but it is kinda cute, & definitely needs those black tights!
Very cute. I can see the dress worn short with opaque black tights. Very nice illustration too.
Perfect! This fabric design really suits the 60's a-line mini dress style.
Mary Quant style dress for Rhonda.

Alas! My days of wearing Mary Quant style dresses are long gone! However, they do live on in my fond memories of youth, when legs were long and dresses were short!
Rhonda I can see you're having a yellow phase! I like the idea of a Mary Quant style dress in this, I think I will have to sketch one out to see how it goes! Thanks for that!
Oooh yes! I do like this colour way, Su! I've been on a bit of a roll with yellow... probably want to add a bit of sunshine to cheer up the dreary, damp Winter! This would look stunning made up into a dress in the mid-sixties, Mary Quant style.
