You were probably off doing something more sensible at the time. I still haven't constructed the 3D version I bought. It has mostly been too cold to do anything much.

How did I never see this before!?! AHHHHHHHH~ Love it!
I had to look up those books because I hadn't come across them myself. Spookily, the first one seems to have been written at about the same time I made my fairy-cake drawings (I can't be very precise on the date of mine). There must have been something in the air (or water) around then.

I bought several those smashed faeries books and my sons used to giggle hilariously at them so these wouldn't have traumatized them when they were younger.
I must have missed that rule. I also have a larger baking tin here with 6 fairies in it. They don't look very happy. Perhaps I should let them out again and pretend it was just a hot-tub or mud-bath.
lol, oh sef... you're not supposed to pick on faeries!
Ah, 11 is plenty old enough to have become warped. They make the Horrible Histories stuff for that age group.

It wasn't planned as a for-sale item. So it would have to wait to sneak into another collection in the next order I make - which could be quite a long time.
She turned 11 about a week ago Sef, would make a kooky cushion too :)
Awesome awesome awesome! Will this be going up for sale?
They would have existential difficulty with that. ;-)
As Robyn (bippidiiboppidii) says: "Deeply hilarious"! Were any fairies actually harmed in the production of this design???
How old is your daughter?

I suppose this design might work as a tea-towel or pan-holder or some other piece of kitchen kit / furnishing / clothing.
My daughter loves this, suits our warped sense of humour perfectly :)
I think even my 8 year old boy might be a bit unnerved by this... and I quite agree on the fairy tale thing Sef, dodgy indeed. So it could be said you are on just the right track...
(@ fireflower - teeheehee!!!)
Yes, definitely not a good decorating plan for young ones.
Are there angel cakes? And a field of seed cakes ready to grow more cakes? Of course, their growth might be inhibited by the rock cakes. and then there are the pan cakes .... food for thought ....
I think you might traumatise pre-schoolers if you presented them with this as their nursery decor or clothing. Fairy-tales have always been highly dodgy things.
Oh, dear! Nothing like a good belly laugh first thing in the morning!!! This is a riot! A perfect ilustration of a pre-school misunderstanding of adult language ... well done!
Deeply hilarious. Love it.
I'm really only barely adequate at the drawing side of things. But I do have the "advantage" of being very strange. Plus the elite math-sci skills of course.
Just love it. You're very talented.
