This was the name given to a group of 16th century Spanish colonial provinces in an area corresponding mainly to modern day Colombia and parts of Venezuela. I have always liked that name a lot... they should have kept it... This is my homage to a beautiful land, filled with tropical colors, flavors, rythms, and the largest variety of birds and orchids in the world. And don't forget the best coffee and the most beautiful women!
