Amazing! You are a very talented artist. I read you tutorial, but I have a doubt. I understood that you take a digital photo of your design. I wonder why you don´t scan it instead. Sorry for my English.
Thank you for the kind words. I take digital photographs of the [arts of the painting I want to use int he design and then I do a layering and offset process using photoshop elements to get it to repeat seamlessly. I posted a free tutorial on how I do it here: http://meylah.com/HelenKlebesadel/diy-designer-fabrics Once you have checked it out feel free to ask me any questions.
Hi Helen, I love your fabrics! I am curious as to how you get your watercolors to repeat so seamlessly? Do you scan a certain size original and then use photo shop or is their a software program that suits the repeat symentry better? Thanks, I am really wanting to know all I can, and I find your fabrics absouletly masterful and so beautiful. - ox Laura
Thank you all for you kind words!

I don't even know how you managed to pick one from all of your gorgeous designs for this contest. Your watercolors are without peer. You were the first designer I thought of when I saw this contest announced.
You have translated your beautiful floral art work into an enchanting fabric design, Helen. It would be a delight to work with such a charming print!
Thank you. This is one of those paintings that was IMPROVED upon as a fabric design. I'm pleased you like it.
Very glad you've entered such a beautiful design, the pinks and cloudy blues are lovely, as are the shapes of the canes. It looks wonderful in yardage and on the miniature chair! Good luck in the Contest.
Helen beautiful choice! Good Luck in the contest this is a wonderful design
Thank you both! I actually have been ruminating quite a bit about which design to enter. There are a few that have already been submitted to past contests that I wish were still available for the ink and watercolor contest. You are correct that I was excited to see it come up. Its more along my interest lines than many of the others. I would be honored to have a chance to put together a portfolio of designs but we will have to see what happens. I don't do much to recruit votes so the design will have to rise to the top on its own. (I have my paint brushed crossed though).
I have been waiting to see which design you would enter. Lovely choice! (They are all lovely of course. I think this contest was practically made for you.) Good luck!
This is absolutely magnificent! Love-love-love!

I guess I'm not the only one to get that "Wonderland" vibe from this design. Very cool that jbm chose this design for the White Rabbit's chair. <p>JBM, beautiful chair!

fantatique, I would so the same chair in my living room
Dollhouse Wing Chair upholstered in 'Hollyhock Spiral' scale of design was reduced to 1/10th of it's original size.

For some reason I get a sort of "Alice in Wonderland" vibe from this. Maybe I should say a "Victoria in Wonderland" vibe.
Thanks whimzwirled. The design comes from one of my watercolor painting but I improved upon the painting for for the fabric. Thanks for the kind words.
Love how it all fits together so well and fills the space.
I actually like this design better than the painting that was its source. Thank you all for your kind comments on it.
very beautiful design/love it:)))xx
An absolutely lovely design, as stunning as your painting - if not more so! I love those extra spirals.
Soooooo beautiful!! I really love this.
Thank you. I just tweaked the design so its a bit better.
great Job~ Stunning!
I agree with karenharveycox, wonderful design - i bet this looks especially lovely on the linen-cotton canvas :)
Thank you. Its actually an improvement on the original painting which only had one spiral.
This is so lovely.
