Slicing up gold. Chalk on paper. © Su Schaefer 2012
Slicing up gold, a textural abstract designed for upholstery and home decor.

I'd expect this to print beautifully on the polyesters & wallpaper, as well as cotton sateen with the sheen adding to the golds. It was proofed on cotton-silk & looked fabulous (see 2nd & 3rd thumbnails above - double click for a clearer view), but unfortunately cotton-silk is no longer available (March 2015). A test swatch is a good idea if considering yardage.

Thanks so much Sylvie - with your liking for bold bright colors of course this appeals to you! And I think seeing it on the two fabrics shows the extra you get with the cotton-silk!

Fantastic choice of colors ... and print ! So shiny and beautiful on cotton silk !
Thank you so much for the feedback Penny and Kim, they are very autumnal colors & I think I finally got that sheen of the cotton silk into the photo, so glad to know it was appreciated!

Lovely Su, very nice choice of colours, especially for this time of the year
This is absolutely lovely,Su ! Posting the fabric photo really helps the viewer appreciate both the richness of the colors and your classy design.I hope you do well with this ! Kim@spoonflower.com
A better photo showing the sheen of the cotton-silk. Printed somewhat darker than shows in my monitor (daylight photo).

I think I need to curve the fabric so you can see the sheen of the cotton-silk which I've failed to capture in this photo... the colors are accurate, it printed a bit darker than you see in the design image, especially the purples which are definitely not so bright! (daylight photo)
Very much appreciate your comment Sylvie, and it reminds me that I must take a photo to show how well it did on the silk-cotton. Some designs just seem more suited to different fabrics, and I was very pleased with this one, although I have yet to plan a use for it...
I hadn't thought of getting work proofed on different fabrics.. silly me, because of course this design would look stunning on silk! It's so luxurious as a design, on fabric it must be more so.
Really appreciate the feedback Kelly - thanks so much!
ooh, so rich-looking and lovely!
Thanks for your nice comment Wren, much appreciated!
Rich colors and texture.
Thank you all so much for the wonderful feedback, I have "little bits of 'happy' shining through" right now!
The rich rocky earthiness of this superb design makes me think of eroded cliffs and opal speckled mining sites.
So fabulous, Su. Really warm and wonderful.
I really love the yellow/orange tones. They are like little bits of "happy" shining through!
Thanks so much Deborah for all your comments and support!
This design is beautiful, Su. Love the colors.
