The 'flower' in this design is really what is left after the petals of the flower are gone: it's the bit that makes the lovely pointy top of the fruit. They vary in colour from pale creamy pinks to bright pinks, like the large flowers in this design, through to vibrant yellows, like the little flowers in the intersections of the ogees.
