This design was created for the Mid-century Cocktail Dress Contest for the production How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying at the Cary Players. The actual size of the peacock design is six inches in size. This pattern was fit to showcase in an 8" x 8" test swatch. I chose soft blue, lavender and green to accentuate the pearly white centers of the designs. Having a theater degree it was important that I visualize how the fabric might read up against the bright stage lights. This would go great with a lavender belt or sash at the waistline. Throw on some pearls and a pair of blue pumps and the actress in this production is sure to be the star of the show! Break a leg Cary Players!
