Thanks so much for your comments, fireflower. I personally like beige but in this brightly colored world, it is sometimes overlooked. Thank you for pointing out the different ways this particular pattern could be used. I appreciate your taking the time to study it. Thank you.
I like this nice, textural, blender design. I can see there would be a lot of uses for it, especially in pieced quilts, as it would make a good underpinning for brighter, lighter colors. It would also make very interesting sashing, with the breaks in the beige adding to the pattern interplay.
