Wonderfully painted and an amazing repeat! It makes beautiful yardage.
Nice repeat! This one reminds me of a scene from that old sci-fi movie, "Logan's Run", where the mad robot keeps a cave full of frozen animals and people. Beautiful work.

Thanks so much! Yes, the ice is filled with all the species that require cold weather as part of their life cycle. They will follow the cold and melt away if the ice does too.
Stunning - loved it just as ice, then saw the little things inside; wonderful as usual
Thanks so much! No artist ever hears enough positive responses to their work. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Oh, I love so many of your designs I could click "Favorite" on everyone! Your style is wonderful and intelligent, I'll never get enough of it.
Opps I didn't realize I couldn't list a link in the responses. Sorry. If you would like to see the painting that this design originated from check out my Etsy pages listed in the description of the fabric. The actual painting juxtaposes this aqua blue against a deep orange sky.

Thanks. Here is a link to th actual painting its from: <http://www.etsy.com/listing/35309603/winters-end-an-original-watercolor>
Its fun to watch little kidswith their parents when they approach it. The ice is right at child height so they usually see the creatures before their parents do. Its kind of a "where's waldo' of climate change in the mid west.
I love all the details in this. Also the wonderful, chilly, blues.
Thank you!In the painting that this design is a section of, the aqua blue is contrasted with a very orange sunset. Very jarring. Despite its theme the fabric is more harmonic.

Absolutely fabulous design!!
I love this one. It's such a seasonal change from West Coast oceans.
Yes, it is difficult to find ways to address important concerns that are so difficult we want to turn away. Using metaphors in art is one of the ways to make hard topics accessible.
Though visually pleasing, I find it immensely sad.
love it!! i'd love it in a simple prayer flag style hanging with other cool colors ... maybe in the summer i'll do it.
Thank you. I'd love to see someone use this in a 'cool' project.
amazing artwork in this great fabric/would make an interesting wall hanging:)))
Wow is right. How gorgeous, intricate. And lovely color.
Oh my, how intricate, how interesting, how multi-layered. Wow!
Thank you! I'm so pleased you took the time to look and see what i there. In the original painting th ices is at about eye level for kids, who love to point out what they see to their parent. Its kind of a "Where's Waldo" of climate change.
Loved this at first glance, loved it more once I really looked at the images with the ice. Very nice
