A small version is on the fat quarter view, and a large and small on the yard view. To construct, use heavyweight fusible interfacing and fuse the head piece, and one each of pieces A,B,C, and D. Cut out pieces and fuse the back pieces of A, B and D. Cut slots on the dotted lines. Fold the head piece into a "V" shape, then insert A,B,C and D pieces into their slots. Loop twine or yarn around piece D to hang the Triceratops. Enjoy!

owlandchickadee says: Thanks Maplewooddesignstudio! Actually I worked it out with paper and foamcore a couple of months ago, then turned that into a pattern (which is on craftsy.com). I was playing around with the idea of a fabric version, did a trial with heavyweight interfacing, and was happy with the results. This contest came along at just the right time :)

owlandchickadee says: Thanks for your comment Fireflower! My house sounds a lot like you described your house :) Actually, my kids have used them as masks too! I don't know why I didn't think of listing it as a mask also!

maplewooddesignstudio says: Wow! Great idea. How in the world did you ever figure out the construction?

fireflower says: This looks like it could also be used as a mask. My sons enjoyed wearing masks and costumes and acting out stories; I can envision them in this, posturing and bellowing. Triceratops was a favorite at our house.
