These luscious tropics are just waiting to be explored, adorned with mottled dustings of exotic plants in a softly muted rainbow of pinks, yellows and reds. The delicate, brush-strokes fens are luminously gold, as though glazed in freshly fallen raindrops. The aqua blue wings of this extinct creature are spread brightly against the foliage, printed translucently as though to capture its long-lost delicacy.
â€œCarboniferous Rainforestâ€ is a design of layers, set one top of another to create density, as through wading through the forestâ€™s foliage. The curves of the dragonfly and the bends on the leaves contradict one another, creating a gently swaying pattern that blows in the breeze.
Meganeura is a genus of extinct insects from the Carboniferous period approximately 300 million years ago, which resembled and are related to the present-day dragonflies.Here my illustrative interpretation of those giant insects buzzing in their giant rainforest
