Casey Stoner silhouettes in red. Line art. © Su Schaefer 2012
Casey Stoner silhouettes in red: I've always admired the way Casey's knee is so close to the ground on the curves, and that's the silhouette I've chosen for this entry in the Motorcycles Contest. My husband, who does ride a motorcycle (unlike me), chose the colors.

Casey Stoner, born in Kurri Kurri, New South Wales, Australia in 1985, is a professional motorcycle racer who has so far won the MotoGP World Champion twice (in 2007 and 2011). Shortly before the 2012 French Grand Prix, Casey announced that he would retire from Grand Prix racing at the end of that season. (with thanks to Wikipedia for some of the details)

Very much appreciated comments, thanks Isabella and Janet!
Oh, very dramatic and effective, Su!
Love the story, love the design, and really really love the colors!
Thanks for the nice comment Tina, appreciated.
I love the graphic look of this design!
Thank you Rhonda for your incredibly helpful feedback! My husband is so pleased by the comments on the dynamism & bright colors as he had quite an influence on this design!
The alternating directions and gradations in size of the silhouettes give your design a great burst of dynamic energy, Su! The strong, bright colours add to this effect!
Thanks for the feedback! And Susan if you think Casey's banking too much in the design you should see him on the track - mere millimetres to spare...
The background texture is very cool! The red silhouette contrast very well, and makes a nice and dynamic fabric.
I like the sense of movement and your husband's choice of colors, but old Casey's banking way too much for a fraidy-cat like me!
