where it represents our family's heavy involvemen
The fleur di lis, while a traditional heraldric symbol, takes on a different meaning in this design, where it represents our family's heavy involvement in Scouting. We have three boys, so the three fleur di lis are our three little scouts. The next quarter represents the Salt Lake Temple, where we were married. It is also symbolic of our faith and being a forever family. The mine lamp represents my husband's family history in mining. He is the sixth generation to work in the mining industry. The tree in the final quarter is for my family, which has a long history of geneologists - both hobbyists and professional.
