This set of cut-and-sew vestments are 58 inches wide and two yards long. To get the full pattern, you will need to order two yards of fabric, and one of the wider fabric choices like twill.
The last strip of fabric on the right is not necessary, and can be used for a robe belt, trim, cross draping or your own project idea.
Keep in mind the weight of the fabric you need for your final project; a stole, podium draping and altar drape should have some weight to it. Most vestments have embroidery that adds a touch of formality-- feel free to add this to your projects. All items will need to be backed with solid fabric. Either sew these inside-out or 1/4 in from the back to avoid seams.
This design is intended for Trinity Sunday, with the traditional gold, red, and white. It can be used throughout the year.
I plan to design for other church calendar events. If you plan to sew several sets of vestments, experiment with fabric weights before ordering them all at once. Measure your altar and pulpit, and also measure your pastor's height before cutting the stole. All designs were made with dimensional flexibility, with extra fabric for adjustments.
