How very clever - to use books for a log cabin design! Love it
Thanks for the kind words, Deborah! Now, while I have read (and very much enjoyed) all of Ellis Peters' Brother Cadfael mysteries, and the BBC productions, the inspiration for the two books in this block was the Sister Fedelma mystery series by Peter Tremayne. There were a couple of them on the bookshelf near my computer when I was creating this design, and, while the "titles" in my design are just plain made-up-by-me, the "author's name" is a combination of two words, one selected from each book, which I put together because it sounded good and fit on the spine.

Beautiful design, Sue Ellen. The text on a couple of the book spines reminds me of the Brother Cadfael (Ellis Peters) mysteries. Brilliant colors. So pretty.
Thank you for the encouraging words, Nika!

Great idea!!! Interesting and beautiful :)
Thank you for the very kind words, Leslie, I'm so glad you like it! It holds a special place in my heart for all the dear ones and memories I put into the "books."
Love this design fireflower. Actually I would frame the section above as wallpaper dry mounted on Grey TV storyboard board and a nice simple contemporary frame with non glare glass. So I'll keep it in mind.
Heheheh, Moira :-) Yes, it's a real Log Cabin block, not a spiral. (Just think of all the recycling we could do if book jackets were cloth!)

A real - recycled - log cabin patchwork!
Sorry I missed your earlier comments, Winterblossom & Eclectic_House ... Thank you for the very kind words! And thank you to Kim and Su for your more recent kind words, which both gladdened my heart, and alerted me to the earlier ones.
Wow!!! This printed great as wallpaper - and what a fun wallpaper it would be!!
I just discovered your wonderful design. What a treat this would be to make into a quilt. It is now on my wish list.Kim@krussimages

This is so unusual and quite stunning! The red and orange in it, is the icing on the cake.
I scanned a wallpaper swatch for this design. The color is good and the printing is clear.

Thank you, Amy! I had a blast making all the books for this design, and I scanned in a wooden shelf from my bookcase for the "sashing."

The log cabin layout of your book design is very effective and is sure to appeal to anyone who has a fondness for this classic quilting pattern!

Great idea! The resolution is a killer tho' it is better at the swatch view where you can actually read the titles.
One reason for low resolution to discourage people from stealing designs. Cute pattern idea.
Oh! I see what you mean! It's a shame that our designs aren't showing as well as they should! If I find a way to solve this, I'll let you know ^_^
This fabric is displaying at low resolution, so it appears quite blurry!!! I am working with Spoonflower to try to resolve this.
