2014 Holiday Ordering Deadlines
Trinity Frontals and Stole - 2 yards
This pattern spreads across two yards, so make sure to order two to get the full pattern. Most fabric widths will work with this, but make sure that you select an opaque and weighty fabric so these fall properly.
You will find a significant cost savings in parishioners sewing their own fabric lectern frontals and pastoral stole. These paraments are designed for Trinity Sunday, with the traditional white and gold with red, and are universal enough to use throughout the church year.
Panels are marked with seam allowances for quick measurement. Standard sizes of lectern, altar and pulpit frontals with a little leeway for adjustments. If you order the 58" twill width, you will get an extra band of printed fabric that can be used as a belt sash, cross draping, communion orphrey or bookmarks.
The image will print on one sheet of fabric, but creative sewing masters might use this as a base for applique, embroidery, quilting or trim.
Plan to purchase two yards of solid fabric for backing, and use this pattern for cutting. If you know how to attach backing 1/4 in, the seams will not show at the edges. Many paraments and vestments are trimmed with satin cord borders and fringe at the base for depth and formality-- have fun with additions.
