Cut and sew pattern for a tote bag to carry your notebook.
Cut along white broken lines, Sew striped pocket to back of inside liner than take the red sides and sew on each end making a basket. Do the same to the front and back by sewing the black sides making another basket. Reverse liner and place inside the outside basket and fold in top edges and double stitch around top (leave openings for handles if enclosing) to finish off. Next take handles with black sides folded together sew along edge making a tube, fold inside out, and iron flat than fold in half again to make handles sturdy iron flat ( if enclosing handle between layers) stitch again along both edges. If you decide you want handle attached on the outside of the tote make sure to tuck in ends to finish off before second fold and sewing along edges. When attaching handles to bag make sure to add extra stitching in a X pattern on the end of each handle, do this wither enclosing handles or attaching to outside to make the handles more secure. Tip purchase some fun foam sheets and cut to size of the bottom, and all 4 sides and enclose each piece in the proper place between the inside liner and outside this will add form to the tote also protection for your notebook or add felt or quilt batting to the liner while assembly for added support.
